My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I can’t express enough how much I love The Prodigal Platypus. I enjoyed it so much that it is hard for me to write an objective review… And it’s a children’s picture book!
The Prodigal Platypus takes the Parable of the Prodigal Son and presents it in a way that children will love. Not only children, but adults as well! I love the word choice and illustrations so much. This is a book everyone will want to read over and over. And you know what? A story of God’s love should be read over and over again.
I can easily see this cute story becoming a family favorite. I can easily see myself gifting it to everyone with children. It is the perfect gift for an expecting mother. Wouldn’t it be cute to celebrate the addition to a family (or a new family) with a lovable story about a father’s love?
Of course, I’m not the only one who enjoyed this cute story. Here’s what the niblings had to say:
I don’t easily give out stars, it is not normal for me to post five star reviews. But each of these was deserved. I look forward to reading more from Lisa Griffin. I wish this book was available in print, then I could start my own Lisa Griffin section on my bookshelf. But alas, it is not. If it ever is, I will be the first in line. Fantastic job, Lisa!
